VALENTINE’S DAY IS SILLY!
So much expectation and pressure to express our love and desire the way the TV, or the greeting card isle, tells us to. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for offering tribute to the ones who ignite our desire and for putting down in poetry the joy of connection and longing. But more than anything, I love realness.
I love getting glimpses of what is pulling a lover towards me and, (of course!) I love adoration, but I hope it’s my particular strengths or the mischievous glint in MY eyes, not an obligatory afterthought from Safeway. Every day is a good day for flowers and love notes. Don’t let them sell you a cheap one day a year factory made version.
Let's keep looking for ways to celebrate the the richly diverse ways we can all cultivate and express our loving, sexy and connected lives together, ALL year!!
